People often ask Lori where she gets her inspiration for her paintings. She replies: "It comes to me in dreams and my own personal experiences. I paint only the things that move and effect me and I try to paint it in a way that it will do the same for the people viewing my work. I want it to strike a cord in everyone and maybe cause people to think a little deeper about what's really important in this short life that we have here on this planet."
Lori Salisbury was born in Idaho, graduated in New Mexico and now lives in Colorado. A love of nature and earth, which inspire her paintings, help to create the feeling you get when you look deep into her paintings....they will touch your soul and stir your emotions. Lori spends her summers with her family exploring the Colorado Rockies, floating the rivers and hiking the trails of inspiration for the next original. Lori is self-taught and works primarily in oil.
